Diptheria Strikes Sebring Family in Tragic Toll
The Sebring family of nine, including parents and seven children, suffered a severe diphtheria outbreak after earlier losses from fire and floods. The eldest son Wilbur, 17, died first followed by six year old William Alphonso within three days. Burglary Baffles Burlington Officers
A freight car on the Burlington was broken into Wednesday night. A box of clothing owned by Wahl & Parden was opened and portions of three suits and extra pants were taken. A box of shoes belonging to Harry Jenne was tapped and several pairs of shoes stolen. Burglars are becoming frequent and baffling the officers.
