Library board met Tuesday with full attendance. President J. E. Leyda appointed book and building and grounds committee. Librarians report for the month shows 2095 books borrowed, 2605 visitors, and 111 cards issued.

Mary Schaible, 44, wife of M. J. Schaible, died Tuesday night December 3 1907 at her home north of Falls City after illness. She leaves husband and three sons Warren Raymond and John, plus three sisters and four brothers. Funeral at the First Methodist church Friday at 1 pm conducted by Rev W T Cline if possible.
After an eighteen hour jury deliberation in the Jradley case the panel returned a verdict of not guilty on Tuesday morning. Two ballots were taken with eleven votes for acquittal and one abstention. Local updates note visits and events as the community braces for upcoming public notices and events.

Charles MccWain of Rulon and Ida Burk of Ohio township were united in marriage on Thanksgiving day. Rev. R. R. Tevter officiated. The Tribune joins with friends in extending congratulations.

Obituary notes the death of Frances Firebaugh Treaston aged 76 in Jewell County Kansas on Nov 26 1907. She married John Heaston in 1850 and left ten children with several survivors. Funeral held Nov 30 at the Christian church conducted by Rev Dunkleberger. Burial beside husband in cemetery southeast of town.
Humboldt High boys defeated Falls City 50 to 11 while Humboldt girls edged Falls City 16 to 12 in a Thanksgiving basketball game. Spectators greeted the early morning Humboldt arrival and praised efforts as both sides showcased strong play and school spirit.
