Barber Charles Kirk Burned to Death in Gas Lamp Accident

Charles Kirk a barber in Lockridge died after a gasoline lamp exploded and his clothing caught fire. Witnesses said he pressed the lamp to boost pressure causing the blast. helpers freed him but his burns were fatal within hours. He left a wife and two young sons. services were held Monday afternoon.
