Tragic Death of Rock Island Brakeman Doggett
B L Doggett twenty one year old rear brakeman on Rock Island freight train No 95 died after falling from the engine pilot during yard switching. Clothing caught and dragged him back against a piston crushing his head. He left parents two sisters and other relatives in Albia. Inquest found death an accident. Funeral held in Albia after body shipped from the scene.
