The Presbytery of Iowa convened in Ottumwa on April 15 for its spring session at Benton street Chapel. Officers named include Rev. A D McKay as moderator and Rev. A E Cameron as temporary clerk. Committees were reorganized with Home Missions headed by Archibald Cradle D D and a robust report from the Home Mission committee crediting a best-ever financial showing under the Iowa plan.

Robert Lynn 71 dies suddenly at home in Fairfield
Robert Lynn age 71 longtime county resident died of heart failure Saturday at his North Main street home. He leaves a wife and five children and was a respected Christian man known for honesty and duty. Funeral Monday at 10 from his residence, Rev. W. W. Montgomery officiating. interment Richwoods cemetery. Born October 6, 1840 in Pennsylvania, he moved to Iowa with family, married Jennie Gordon in 1868, and had seven children with five surviving. He led the chautauqua grounds for years and was active in the Presbyterian church in Salina and Fairfield.

Edwin Glotfelty dies after long illness in Fairfield
Edwin Glotfelty, born September 8, 1859 near Libertyville Iowa, died Tuesday April 16 1912 at 6 45 pm in Fairfield after six years of farm retirement and a year in California. He leaves wife Lizzie Riniker two children Florence and Wendell, four brothers and one sister. Funeral Thursday at 2 30 pm from the family home conducted by Dr Thos Osborn. burial in Evergreen cemetery. He was a member of the local BPOE lodge and had recently moved from the farm to Fairfield.

Died On The Verge Of Young Manhood
Frank Parsons nineteen year old son of Joe Parsons of West Washington street died after a week long illness. The funeral was held at 2 30 p m Sunday from the residence led by the Fraternal Aid association. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. Dr Thomas Osborn delivered the address. The illness was severe and prognosis poor from the start. He was well known and greatly liked.

Clark Leads Delegates as Iowa Gets Ready for May Convention
Des Moines April 22 Clark holds 282 delegates to the Iowa Democratic state convention at Burlington May 16 while Wilson shows 165. Counties have varied instructions with 24 for Clark and Wilson support in 12 counties. The convention totals 1 032 accredited delegates with 289 uncommitted in 29 counties claimed by both sides. Bryan endorsement appears in several counties.
