Finance board approves several town projects
The Board of Finance approved funding for multiple projects including 32000 for a shift commander vehicle for the fire department funded by internal transfers, 600000 for interest on the new sewer plant from the Water Pollution Control Authority surplus, 650000 to finance nonrecurring capital projects for public schools in 2002 03 via a special appropriation, and 414200 for budgeted computer hardware purchases for schools also through a special appropriation. A Burr Street water line and hydrants project was declined without prejudice pending further questions.
