Town Plan Reuses Classrooms To Save Money
First Selectman Kenneth Flatto outlines a plan to relocate nine portable classrooms from Ludlowe to Fairfield High School and move PAL from Ludlowe to the Oldfield site behind the senior center. The move would cut purchases of 11 new portables and rehouse 15 staff, with a total estimated saving of 500000 to 750000. The Representative Town Meeting approved about 1.5 million dollars to implement most of the plan, including cafeteria renovations and extra admin space.
