Evolution of the American trotting horse and era studies
Prof Brewer of Lule discusses Connecticut Experiment Station findings on the trotting horse, tracing its evolution from archaic riding and war animals to a modern American creation. He covers breeds, racing records, and the social and agricultural roles of horses, noting key trotters and times from Yankee to Maud S and Dexter, with reflections on breeding goals and changing fashions.
