Jamestons July 10 Elias H Jenner longtime clerk of Chau Tauqua County Board of Supervisors died last night at age after twenty five years serving. The report from Associated Press notes his tenure and role in county government.
Sam Cook, a Black man, shot Emma Shores in a jealous rage at Potosi on Thursday and killed himself. He was captured yesterday with two head wounds from which brains oozed. He wandered the woods until Sunday, ate a meal, talked rationally, and walked three miles before capture. He cannot live. The girl Emma Shores survives but is paralyzed.
The Law and Order Society has begun a crusade to revoke licenses of saloons that sell liquor on Sundays in Punavstpaia. The Associated Press dispatch notes the campaign aims to curb Sunday liquor sales and enforce prohibition era standards.

Robert Simpson, 30, was stabbed and killed by Alexander Boyer, 25, in New Yoak. Simpson had deserted his wife for a young colored woman, whom Boyer also pursued. The two men quarrelled and met tonight, leading to a knife assault that killed Simpson.
