Two Prisoners Escape From the County Jail

John Lehinkall and John Keown were among prisoners assigned to morning kitchen work and released through a kitchen window. They then reached the jail yard, climbed the gallows wall and dropped to the street, escaping.

December 30 Baltimary reports John Scott convicted of uxoricide faced a final denial for a new trial by the Supreme Court. He is to be sentenced to death on Saturday, marking eight years of capital punishment in Baltimore.
