John Lehinkall and John Keown were among prisoners assigned to morning kitchen work and released through a kitchen window. December 30 Baltimary reports John Scott convicted of uxoricide faced a final denial for a new trial by the Supreme Court. He is to be sentenced to death on Saturday, marking eight years of capital punishment in Baltimore. Also noted is Eziekiel Young, railroad freight agent, who committed suicide in Pas coag engine house after a bank trouble, and the death of John Beltwin, founder of Baldwins University, aged eighty-five.
