Washington December 12 The House Expenditures sub committee began investigating alleged irregularities in the office of the First Comptroller. J J Barker testified detailing questioned accounts including a seventy dollar claim by Maryland Jury Commissioner J Fur ris Moore and a 405 dollar per diem claim for Pittsburgh court attendance.
In Toronto on December 12 Archbishop Lynch celebrated a Jubilee with pomp and American prelates including Archbishops Ryan and Grace and Bishops Ireland, Ryan, Gilmour, Wadham, McNerney, O Farrell, Gross, Laughlin, Wrater, Fitzgerald and Burgess. A young woman riding in a street car yesterday in GuapALAJAKA Mexico was killed when an elderly man discarded a cigarette. The blaze erupted as the two occupants sat together, the woman unable to escape before the flame was extinguished.
