James president of the University of South Dakota began a two week tour with a Kiwanis Ladies night address in Vermilion and planned talks in Pierre, Huron, Sioux Falls, and other South Dakota cities. Groton engineers say state highway 37 graveling from the south Brown county line to federal highway 12 should finish early next week barring bad weather. The stretch north to Glacier trail will also be gravelled without delay and wrapped before freezing weather, giving the county its only gravel highway besides the Yellowstone trail and federal highway 12 and improving direct links to Huron and Glacier trail.
