BROOKINGS Sept 7 Special Sire Days to aid breeders bring surplus bulls rams poultry, will be held across many counties in South Dakota this fall says I B Johnson State college extension. They promote purebred sires to improve livestock quality with demonstrations exhibits and local entertainment. Last year 25 counties hosted Sire days with satisfactory results and Beadle County has held a yearly Sire day at Huron for six years. County agents or Extension Service can arrange this event.

State's Buying Power Advances in August 1933

Aged Doctor From St. Lawrence Dies
Dr. James Bernas Taylor aged 88 died after a long illness. A pioneer physician in Hand county, he served St. Lawrence for about 40 years and cared for many during the flu epidemic of 1918. Survived by four children and five grandchildren. wife deceased in 1920. Interment in St. Lawrence cemetery beside his wife.

Shower for Bride at Bonilla Huron honors Marjorie Cooper Morrissey

Schools Reopen In St. Lawrence
