Liedtke the Fighter Escapes Aberdeen Court
Louis Liedtke, a well known prize fighter of the Dikotes, escaped from the Aberdeen municipal court where he and three others faced trial on liquor charges. Brought from the county jail for arraignments, he left unnoticed during the session wearing a brown suit and no hat. He stands six feet two inches and weighs about 180 pounds with black curly hair.

Floods across six Denver area streams caused two deaths and possible three more missing with property damage near 1 million dollars. Amid heavy rains, Englewood, Idledale, Morrison, Littleton, Welby and Denver area towns suffered flood damage with Bear Creek and the Platte river overflowing. A large pulley washed into Englewood's main street and three buildings collapsed. 15 basements flooded and crops damaged north of the city.
