Sisterhood May Meeting Shown with Desserts and Gifts

The Sisterhood Class of the Baptist Church hosted their May meeting at Mrs. John King's home with dessert at seven thirty and a kitchen shower for Miss Jances Kieser, who weds in June. Auction bridge yielded high scores for Grace Kneehone and Edna Countryman, while Kieser received a shower of gifts. The Whozit Club gave Mrs. Carl Christensen a farewell party at Mrs. Wayne Olmsted’s house, with two-table bridge and high card honors for Mrs. John Patton. Mrs. Christensen received handkerchiefs, and a two-course lunch followed. Mrs. Hammel and Mrs. Mary Kochendorfer assisted, new president A. W. Palm led, and committees were named for the coming year. Rose Cotton, hospitalized, was noted as recovering after the entertainment, with lunch by Mrs. Schramm and hostesses.

Nine Piano Pupils In Recital At Miss Null's Home

Huron College Couple Wed In Mitchell Parsonage

Eloise Wuest and Floyd Thompson wed Saturday May 20 at Mitchell Presbyterian parsonage with Rev C McManis officiating. Bride wore a dusty rose lace dress. groom in a daltet suit. Mrs Thompson a 1938 Huron College graduate with Pi Alpha Phi. groom captained Huron College football and belonged to Phi Kappa Mu. They plan to reside in Huron. McCune Auxiliary closed summer with a picnic at the Presbyterian Church dining room. 20 members and guests dined at two long tables under Mrs Reese and Mrs Bachman supervision. Special guests included Miss Dora Parks and Mrs Helen Ipsen and daughter Pauline of Hot Springs, Montana.

Police school planned at Spearfish in June

About 60 law enforcement officers from the region are scheduled to attend a two day police school in Spearfish on June 5 and 6. Instructors and speakers will come from state and federal agencies to participate in the program.
