Rapid City May 26 The South Dakota School of Mines reports only nine or 2.9 percent of living graduates are unemployed. Of 735 alive, 98.75 percent are employed. The study, directed by BR Palmerton, notes Mines graduates show strong job acquisition compared with peers such as New York University College of Engineering.

Delinquent motor carrier fees and patrol activity report
South Dakota motor patrol collected 10 456 in delinquent compensation fees during April. Patrol superintendent Walter Goetz reported fifty four arrests were made and violators paid 1 243 in fines for overloaded trucks and improper plates. Patrolmen traveled 29 427 miles, weighed 144 trucks with 43 over weight, aided 91 motorists and issued 901 warnings.
