Platform added to fair program at state grounds
The State Fair grounds will receive major improvements this summer with contracts for a concrete bleacher stand adding 2,200 seats at the race track, a new poultry building, and a water mains upgrade. A larger platform for tree acts and a new 60 by 40 foot concrete dressing area are also authorized, with details to be arranged by Secretary John F. White and a state engineer’s representative.
