Broadland Pupils Prepare for Exams and Picnic
Broadland schools conduct final examinations this week and plan a picnic at Corcoran grove on Saturday. Canton May 21. H N Cooper, Canton abstractor, keeps an adding machine in his office now in its 44th year of service. The device was bought in 1887 when Cooper began as county auditor. The patent date reads 1687 making it one of the first machines produced.
