Lake Preston May 10 Special Funeral services for J S Archer were held today at the Catholic church in De Smet with Father Tuttin officiating. Interment followed in De Smet Catholic cemetery. Archer homesteaded north of Lake Preston in 1880 and helped build the community. He was 73 and survived by his widow and six children Edwin Josie Frank Sebastian Jerald and Mrs Mildred Larson all present at his death.
