FRANKYFORT May 9 Special A sedan driven by G A Schone going to Redfield rolled over on a hill one mile west of town narrowly avoiding serious injury. Accompanying him were Mrs William Hawk and daughter Arlene and his niece Lola Schone all badly bruised and cut as the car wrecked.
Miller Boy Scouts conducted an overnight hike to Camp Dakota to view the proposed dam that would create an attractive lake on the camp’s east end. Three advanced scouts from Huron joined the group amid plans for the project.
Lane's high school home economics department will be represented at the State Smith Hughes contest in Brookings May 10 11 by Doris Walker and Opal Martens. A preliminary among five freshmen chose the finalists Opal Martens Mildred Roli Marjorie Stewart Elma Miller and Dorothy Logan Opal won with a score of 105 out of 125.
Plans for the Cavour Boy Scouts summer program were discussed at a meeting led by scoutmaster George D. Egner. The debate outlined several activities and schedule ideas for the season.
