Vermillion geologist E P Rothrock described a hot water basin centered near Nowlin Haakon County with water at 121 degrees and depths of 1000 to 3000 feet. Funeral Held for Lieut Berry at Willow Lake
Funeral services for Lieut John C Berry son of Mr and Mrs George Berry were held this afternoon with the local American Legion post in charge. The body arrived last night accompanied by Lieut Jordan F Haney. Military honors were accorded and Watertown aviators planned to drop wreaths from a plane. Berry died under mysterious circumstances at Brooks Field Texas and the death is under investigation by army and civilian authorities in Texas.

Two Gun Crowley Captured After Prolonged New York Gun Battle
In Fashionable District West 6th Street Manhattan, the 19 year old killer Francie Crowley nicknamed Two Gun was captured after a three hour siege in an apartment. He suffered wrist and leg wounds from police fire and was taken to Bellevue Hospital under guard along with accomplice Rudolph Durniger and teen sweetheart Helen Walsh. Scientist Rescues After Winter Alone on Greenland Ice Cap
Augustine Courtauld, a young British scientist, was rescued from the Greenland ice cap after spending a winter alone. Led by H. G. Watkins the expedition recovered him at Sermelik Fjord, 105 miles from base, with Captain Albin Ahrenberg spotting the igloo from the air. Ahrenberg then guided the rescue party back to safety and planned further search for other missing scientists in the region.

Bandits Rob Elkton Bank for 2500 In Currency
Two masked bandits robbed the Elton Com Exchange Bank in Elkton at 9 25 this morning forcing three officers into the vault and escaping in a dark Ford with 2500 in currency. McDougal Named Parole Officer for South Dakota
J E McDougal of Britton former lieutenant governor and Republican leader was appointed state parole officer by Governor Warren Green to replace C B Powers of Chamberlain who died recently.
