Dr. C. W. Pugsley president of South Dakota State College spoke to the South Dakota Bankers association in Brookings on May 8. He said agriculture will move to larger, machinery operated farms owned by families, with more schooling and technical apprenticeship, while avoiding reliance on syndicate farming. He stressed farmers must stay abreast of times and market products efficiently.

27 Pound Pike Is Caught In Kampeska
Watertown May 8 M RB Allen of Watertown caught a great northern pike weighing 27 pounds and four feet long from Lake Kampeska using a spoon hook on a Norwegian gled. The fish fought hard and was killed after being hauled near shore on the northwest side.

FULANDREAU May 8 Hundreds of members of the South Dakota Grange are expected to attend the annual convention in Flandreau June 10 and 11. Sessions will be held in the Flandreau city park.
