Two Plunge To Death In Rapids Of Oregon River
Four men wading above Celilo Falls on the Columbia river leaped into turbulent rapids to rescue companions. Mace rlonie Torre and Meinet Kauivel died, while Louis Martinez Jose Jiminez were saved after being swept toward the falls. Martinez was rescued by an Indian fisherman using a dipnet. Standard Declares New Cash Dividend
Directors of the Standard Oil company of Indiana declared a cash dividend of 62 34 cents a share on its capital stock payable June 15 to stockholders of record May 16.
