County Y O L Meets April 6 In Huron convention

County Superintendent Nellie M Brus plans a Beatle County Young Citizens League convention in Huron on Saturday April 6. Each local league may send two delegates to the county meeting, who will vote to name three delegates to the state convention in Pierre April 25 and 26. Delegates will be chosen from three districts to ensure regional representation. A one minute talk will allow delegates to summarize last year's work in their communities.

Spelling Contest Dates Set in Beadle County

Beadle County spelling contest rules were mailed by Superintendent Nellie M Brusso to all county schools. Hundreds of sixth through eighth graders may compete, with two to advance to the state contest from Siowuvtil. Rural schools will send one representative each, villages and cities one to five entrants, words drawn from the Eaton True Blue speller. Copies cost 2 cents from the county superintendent.
