Salem, TL March 25. A private bus crashed near here killing 20 people and injuring many others. Survivors report eight people escaped the blaze as the bus rolled off Highway 50 and flames spread after a gas tank exploded. Two survivors died in hospital including Mrs. Emily Thomas and Ted Mullens, leaving several others badly burned and identified only with difficulty. The bus was en route from St. Louis to Cincinnati when the crash occurred two miles west of the city.
