Social Security urges brides to update names for wages

Clayton S. Brown of the Huron field office announced a new card, Employee's Request for Change in Records, to update names on Social Security wage accounts and prevent errors in old age insurance records. Card helps record new name and account number, and corrected numbers will be issued. The board notes many workers have changed jobs under a new name without informing SSA, risking incorrect benefit totals and states that the form can also correct age and address declarations. Brown warns age proofs may be required for benefit claims, and urges all name changers to use this simplified process to ensure accurate records.

To the Editor I urge voters to avoid snap judgments on changing the city form of government. The debate seems a personal clash aimed at ousting a few officials. Seek trained leaders for city departments and vote for the city's best interests, not personal differences.
