Injuries Fatal To Irma Brown
Irma Brown a 24 year old Wolsey woman died in a Huron hospital at 7 this morning from injuries in a Saturday automobile crash near Huron. The crash on state highway 37 near Stony Run dam involved three cars but others were uninjured. Brown was unconscious for hours before dying. funeral services pending. She was the daughter of Clyde and and Mrs Brown and leaves five sisters and a brother. She had been employed near Huron for the past year.

Aberdeen March 19 improved business conditions in South Dakota were reflected today in a 47 percent increase in federal income tax payments. T. C. Kasper, South Dakota collector for the U.S. Bureau of Internal Revenue, reported receipts from the tax on 1939 income as of March 16 totaled 362,093.34 dollars, up 115,859.15 from 246,294.19 dollars as of March 16 last year on 1938 income. The large rise parallels gains from other regions and was blamed on better business overall.
