License Plate Rush Nears Deadline in County

County treasurer Neil Bailey urged license plate buyers to act as only 11 days remain to purchase 1937 plates. He noted only about a third of the supply sold so far, with 4927 licenses sold countywide last year and roughly 1503 disposed of by noon day. Truck licenses mirrored the trend, with about 193 today, as last year eight truck licenses were issued in the county. Automobilia drivers using expired plates after March 31 face penalties under state law.
