Honor Juveniles and Girl Scouts Plan Social Events

Social calendar led by Evelyn Hartnagel lists a Saturday meeting of Degree at Honor Juveniles of Lodge No 4 at 2 30 o clock in Labor Temple and a Sunday B of R T gathering in Labor Temple at 3. A Monday 5 30 pm Girl Scout annual dinner at Catholic church honors Juliette Low with photos by Mrs Shelton Reese and musical numbers. guests include Marie Astrid of Minneapolis. An Et 40 meeting is planned Tuesday at George's Beadie County Salon 8 with dinner, cards, and a trip to De Smet March 13 for a national chapeau honor of Mrs Thelma Bailey.

Womens Relief Corps Holds Business Meeting in Aberdeen

Mrs. Pearl Stafford ran the meeting at Labor Temple as many members reported illness. General orders were read, the 1883 charter reframed and hung, and tithing dates February 1 to July 1 1939 set to aid Grand Army of the Republic income. Anna Reese named as a recruiting officer for South Dakota. A historic G A R gavel from Robert Anderson Post was gifted to Sydney L. Smith Post and Aberdeen Women's Relief Corps, carved from Gettysburg era timber with a Tenel ball shard. Next meeting set for March 17 at Mrs J H Finelsh’s home.

Urge Assistance In Finding Youth Allegheny County Search Effort

Law enforcement asks neighbors to aid in locating 16 year old Willie Arbeiter son of Dr and Mrs T Arbeiter of 623 Ohio Avenue Southeast missing since late last November. He was about 5 feet 6 inches tall 140 pounds in overalls and a gray blue mackinaw coat. A junior in high school he left home last fall while parents were away two companions returned soon after and said he boarded a train at Tracy Minnesota. Reports placed him in southeastern state areas and Sioux Falls where relatives could not locate him.

Mrs Lillian Fisk to Visit Mizpah Chapter No 9

Mrs Lillian Fisk of Flandreau associate BR and conductress of Brand chapter of South Dakota O B S will make her officiel visit to Mizpah Chapter No 9 tomorrow evening. Past Matrons luncheon at noon at Hotel Marvin Hughitt. She conducts a school of instruction at the Temple at 2 pm. Dinner at six fifteen served by the March committee. Evening meeting at eight. George Liedt of Spencer worthy grand pison will be present and other grand officers expected.

Last Rites Friday For Mrs Ora Barber

Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Barber 88 Hyde County pioneer who died in a Hot Springs hospital will be held in the Congregational Church Friday. The Rev Walter Van will officiate. She came to Hyde County in 1883 and lived here until about 12 years ago when she went to the soldier's home at Hot Springs. Death followed a weeklong illness. Ben Barber and Mrs Etta Bawden of Highmore were with her when she died.

Strike Is Settled At Minneapolis Thirteen Hotels Carry On Service

Thousands of Minneapolis office workers returned to elevators as the elevator operators strike ended in 34 downtown buildings. The AFL Building Service Employes Union voted to accept an employers proposal granting two weeks of paid vacation, preserving seniority rights and re-hiring guarantees for strikers. Hotels in Washington used own trucks as 13 capital hotels faced walkouts by waiters and kitchen staff over the closed shop issue, while still maintaining some service.
