Cut Farm Debts By Aid Of FSA

Seventy four South Dakota farm families facing foreclosure have improved their financial footing through local farm debt adjustment committees and county rehabilitation supervisors. Debts totaling 291,841 were restructured, with 190,766 to be paid under farm plans reflecting current earnings. The program, active since 1935, has made 5,823 adjustments in South Dakota, guiding orderly repayment of 10,971,731 from an original 29,201,513.

Ban On Boats By Children At Ravine Lake

Louis M. Witra city recreation director announced a rule forbidding children to use boats at Ravine Park lake as a safety measure. Several youngsters had been using boats on the north Huron lake and the directive warns that ongoing use will bar access to the lake. Young Republicans Conclave Aims To Fuel Interest Here

East of the Missouri River Young Republicans meet here next Monday and Tuesday for a rally to boost party interest. Monday features Dutch lunch and reception for officials. Tuesday opens with breakfast and round table talks, a women's lunch, and a 1:36 p.m. general meeting with Donald Hornbeck and Marian Martin.
