Death Penalty For Barrow's Pal Is Recommended
In Huntsville Texas on June 14 a jury led by Rev George Montgomery recommended the death penalty by electric chair for Raymond Hamilton formerly linked to Clyde Barrow. Hamilton convicted of killing Major Crowson a prison guard during a jail escape. Crowson shot in Eastham prison farm raid January 16. Hamilton vows he will not die in the chair and his attorney will seek a new trial.
