Farmers from across the state converge on Brookings for the Farm and Home Field Day at South Dakota State College. The program features tours of experimental plots and livestock barns at 9 am, contests in livestock dairy and poultry judging at 11, a noon picnic, Elks band concerts, and talks by Congressman Royal C Johnson state agriculture secretary Frank D Kiebs and forestry expert TH Wheeler.
