Millis H. Davis of Hitchcock Dies Suddenly Saturday

Willis Hempstead Davis 75 South Dakota Farm Bureau leader and early Huron merchant died suddenly at his farm home 22 miles north of Hitchcock after a day of normal activity. He was honored in 1929 with the Master Palmer Award by South Dakota State College for a lifetime of farm leadership. Surviving are his widow and two sons. Funeral arrangements not announced.

Murder Attacks in Honolulu End in Arrests and Trial

Honolulu sobered as a series of assaults and a sensational murder shocked the city. Navy personnel and civilians face charges in the “honor” slaying of Joseph Kahahawai. Lieut Massie and three sailors, Jones Lord and a fourth, were taken into custody at Pearl Harbor. Civil courts will try all four after a naval custody dispute. A grand jury was to be convened to pursue the case.

Mitchell January 11. Nearly $100,000 has been appropriated to aid about 2,500 families in South Dakota and Nebraska hit by last year’s grasshopper outbreak. Farm Loan Group To Meet Here Tuesday

Members of the First National Farm Loans Association of Huron, a unit of the Federal Land Bank of Orsahe, will hold their annual meeting in Huron tomorrow. Admits Slaying Marian McLean

Cincinnati, Jan 1 The Kidnaping and slaying of six year old Marian McLean was confessed by Charles Bischoff 45. He led to the child's body found Dec 22 in a tenement basement. He described the attack and said he planned to mislead searchers. Prosecutor Gor said a first degree murder indictment will name Bischoff.

Haskell Reelected President of Bond Company
