Millis H. Davis of Hitchcock Dies Suddenly Saturday
Willis Hempstead Davis 75 South Dakota Farm Bureau leader and early Huron merchant died suddenly at his farm home 22 miles north of Hitchcock after a day of normal activity. He was honored in 1929 with the Master Palmer Award by South Dakota State College for a lifetime of farm leadership. Surviving are his widow and two sons. Funeral arrangements not announced.

Murder Attacks in Honolulu End in Arrests and Trial

Lieut Massie and three sailors, Jones Lord and a fourth, were taken into custody at Pearl Harbor. Civil courts will try all four after a naval custody dispute. A grand jury was to be convened to pursue the case.
