In Salisbury Maryland a mob of about 2000 dragged Mack Williams from a hospital cot and hanged him in the courthouse yard after he killed Daniel Elliott, a lumber dealer. Station Robbery Is Flat Failure
VALENTINE NEB Dec 5 Two men are in jail here and a third in the hospital after a daring service station robbery and gun battle with officers near Springview Thursday night. The wounded robber, Wesley Gregg of Valentine, was bleeding but not in critical condition. With Gregg were Lloyd Raymond Winner and another man described as Raymond's cousin. They entered the Sinclair station and ordered Pete Kesseling to open the safe. Finding no money there they took the cash register and fled east in a waiting car. Springview officers blocked the highway. The robbers refused to surrender and fired as they passed a police truck. The car escaped but later stalled in a mow bank and the capture followed.

Two Are Injured In Dynamite Blast
In Buffalo, Dec S et h Kelley and a younger man were seriously hurt when a dynamite blast at a Lipnite mine south of town hurled them about ten feet into the air. The elder Kelley suffered a broken leg and other injuries. the younger sustained a serious fracture. A prior accident in the same mine killed Jacob Kolb of Biwom. The blast occurred while a man attempted to relight the fuse.
