Herman Horn dies after extended illness in Wolsey
Herman Horn aged 36 died this morning at the home of his wife's parents Mr and Mrs Lenz following a prolonged heart disease. He served two years in World War I and is survived by his wife two children and a brother. Funeral arrangements had not been made this afternoon.

Four men pleading guilty to robbery were sentenced to ten years at the state reformatory in Anmoise after confessing to daylight store and streetcar robberies and night hold-ups in Sioux City. The defendants named Ellen Reader 18 R. V. Hart 4 EB. Snyder 27 and James Holmes 19 were part of a crime wave cleanup.

Philip Man Killed When Truck Upsets Near Philip
A truck driven by Walter Gredvig left Highway 34 four and a half miles south of Philip last night after failing to negotiate a curve. The vehicle crashed through a guard rail and fell 18 feet into a ravine. Jaren Carr, a passenger, escaped unharmed and jumped to safety. Gredvig was killed instantly.

Poisonous Denatured Liquor Found Near Huron
Twenty six bottles of liquor hidden in a field near Huron contained denatured alcohol and fusel oil, capable of blindness or death if consumed. The 93 percent alcohol mix, near bootlegger row, was tested by the health officer at the request of state and federal authorities. Ownership is under investigation.
