Fair to feature musical revue at State Fair
The musical revue A Night in Seville will be staged nightly September 9 through 13 at the State Fair. A 73 member cast includes Al Lenner Broadway producer handling scenic effects, Don Adams as master of ceremonies, and performances by Honore and Doree Lorraine Sebott Maude Haase Frankie Weiss Ruth Lyon and Henry Thompson among others.

Pierre August 27 The South Dakota Board of Railroad Commissioners said the Interstate Commerce Commission ordered substantial general reductions in salt shipping rates from Kansas Michigan and related states to nearly all South Dakota points by November 15 1929 The board cited examples Ludington Mich to Pierre 385 to 367 cents Rapid City 55 to 47 cents with cuts also noted for other routes and a large minimum car savings.
