Brookings Aug 24 A crop of alfalfa seed approximately equal to last year was forecast for the west river section after R E Johnston extension agronomist traveled through 12 counties. He noted heavy inroads from grasshoppers and poor growth in many fields since the first cutting, with substantial damage in others.
