Come Wisconsin for Criminals Sequel Amid Far Flung Hunt
An Chicago police operation tracked kidnap suspects from a turf war linking Jr, St Paul brewer, and Oklahoma City oil magnate with a gangsters’ network. Detectives, in disguise as a cab driver and a telegraph messenger, intercepted a staged ransom plan, but the pair fled with about $100 marked money after a botched drop at a barbecue stand on Wolf Road.Authorities had monitored taps and warned the duo could be killed if captured, while a rapid shift in directions thwarted the trap and left investigators pursuing through the region amid reports of summer homes and increased gang activity.
