ST PAUL Aug 15 Crib silos are proposed to ease drought caused feed shortages for Northwest farmers. Dairy specialist E A Hanson of the Minnesota College of Agriculture explains corn-crib or fence-flat materials can be arranged into post sections forming trench and pit silos. The system uses modular sections that can be expanded to fit available space in well drained, inexpensive locations, enabling fall and winter feeding.
