South Dakota Program To Stress Farm Marketing Aid In 1930
Pierre Aug 15 South Dakota will stress marketing problems and business phases of farming in its 1930 vocational agriculture program. W P Beard state supervisor says the plan focuses on the business of farming and farmers' place in the federal farm board marketing system. The program aims to reach more students, expand supervised practice, and increase student management of projects. The Future Farmers of America is growing, with about half of departments already having chapters and expect 90 percent of schools to have them next year. Beard urges more graduate study and agricultural literature to raise standards to meet rising needs. J A Linke predicts good growth for the program statewide.
