Two Are Injured In Highmore Accidents
Aug 14 Highmore reports two incidents. Fred Bloedort, 16, was thrown from a horse at his brother in law George Bouzek's farm when the horse stepped into a hole. He regained consciousness after bruises and is not expected to suffer serious harm. John Arnett, 25 miles north of Highmore, aimed to rabbit hunt but a shell failed to fire. when investigating, the cartridge discharged, costing him a big toe and necessitating amputation.

Redfield paving set to open August 24 in business district
Redfield officials announced that pavement blocks in the business section will be opened August 24. May or Frank Naeve said word of the schedule, and a Chamber of Commerce celebration is planned. Season Is Concluded With Kiwanis Playground Activity
REDFIELD Aug 14 Special After six weeks of Kiwanis sponsored playground activity a parade of 125 children was held prizes awarded by a Kiwanis committee. Total registration reached 350 children directed by Miss Helen Maes assisted by Miss Lorene Nicholson. Children were taken to Cottonwood Lake twice weekly learning basic swimming and floating. The project will be considered again next year on a community basis.

REDFIELD Aug 1 Special Ty fifty five young people of the local Methodist church completed a three day institute at Cottonwood lake using the Coleman cottage for girls and the boat house for boys. Classes covered worship church history and hymnology. Evenings were cool and the large fireplace filled in for a campfire.
