Flax urged to boost South Dakota crop profits

South Dakota farmers may profit by increasing flax acreage as a brighter price outlook emerges. Rev S W Keck Addresses Father and Son Meeting

Lincoln Farmers Try Commercial Fertilizer

Fifteen Lincoln county farmers will use commercial fertilizer this year based on plans announced by county extension agent L G C Sayre. A fist grade superphosphate will be applied to corn and other crops, with rates of 50 to 65 pounds per acre on planters and 100 to 125 pounds per acre when broadcast, aiming to data on yield and quality improvements.

Pierre April 20. More than 75 percent of automobile headlights are defective in focus or adjustment, says Sandrew Marvick in charge of administering the new headlight law. Britton, April 20. Through reorganization, the Equity Shipping association here becomes a cooperative concern to be known as the Farmers' Cooperative Shipping Association. The association shipped 86 carloads of livestock during the past year, including 4,915 hogs 539 cattle and 604 sheep, with total gross receipts of 124,397.32 dollars.
