Howard April 1 Ray Bowen 32 an employee of the Central West Public Service Co was electrocuted when he touched a high voltage line at Vilas three miles west of here at 8 35 am today He climbed a pole to open a disconnect and was struck by a live conductor He died almost instantly coroner willoughby said no inquest planned Bowen resided in Woonsocket and is survived by a widow and a 3 year old daughter

She was about 60, had been ill three months, and returned from Rochester Minnesota last week seeking medical aid.
