Fern Passenheim fifteen year old Huron junior high pupil suffered severe facial lacerations when the car collided with a Great Northern train at Third street crossing. Herbert Kuhlman twenty was unconscious with a bruised chest. both were returning from services at Mt Calvary Lutheran. The train, lighted bus and coach moved slowly. engineer Swenson attempted to stop. Fern crawled from wreckage and was taken to hospital. Kuhlman remained unconscious briefly then woke. Fern faces disfigurement but expected recovery barring infection.

Defer Sentencing for Carpenter Farmer Gothring

The will of the late Edward P. Earhart of St Paul leaving nearly $100,000 to Minnoaze lig and St Paul institutions and 73 persons was ruled valid by Judge Albin S. Pearson in probate court. Objections claiming incompetence at drawing on January 29 19 were filed by his mother Mrs E L Earhart of Evanston Illinois who would receive only income from a $25 000 trust. An appeal was announced. A prior 1916 will leaving Earhart’s entire estate to his mother was denied admission to probate. Earhart died last January.
