Dan Renear, swimmer and oarman, saved a drowning soldier at Waikiki yesterday afternoon. Amid crowded waters the soldier cried for help as a cramp overtook him. Renear reached him as he went down for the third time and brought him to a safe float off Wright's Villa. The soldier landed exhausted but alive.
