Vaudeville House to Close for Ten Days Remodel

The popular vaudeville venue will shut after tonight’s performance for ten days. H L Kerr & Co will remodel starting Thursday, widening the structure twelve feet, deepening the stage four feet, enlarging the auditorium, adding eight ceiling exits, elevating the floor, installing electric fans, and replacing old seating with comfortable arm chairs to increase capacity modestly.

Captain Murray Arrested After Saloon Fracas

Captain Murray Arrented of Antio? was arrested on assault and battery charges after allegedly striking Captain Spillner of the Mounted Patrol. An uptown saloon gathering led to a confrontation, with Spillner claiming Murray approached and struck him, then Murray was taken into custody.
