Pupils performed in mathi algebra bookkeeping sixth reader and composition. A seven year old, F Sylva, recited Old is Better Than Now to hearty applause. The girls school closing followed with strong singing and pleased visitors. Star defeats Artillery 14 to 6 in baseball. Silver wedding anniversary for Mr and Mrs C H Kilnegol drew over two hundred guests at their Batasday home. Apple showers ahead of season fruit ripening noted by natives.

Bartender in Slingshot Incident Hits Officer Below Eye
Verd Sling Sher was struck beneath the eye by a sling shot projectory from a bartender at 0:30 this morning. The wound is minor. The bartender claims the act was merely for pastime. Captain Parker holds the sling shot. Officer Mokulehua and the nearby incident involving Akakani are noted as prior events with similar near misses.

Fire destroys mill boiler and engine rooms weekend blaze
The Kinna arriving Saturday night brought news of a fire at Stronomu Plantation Thursday evening. The fire started in the boiler room of the mill and the engine room. both were destroyed. The damage otherwise was not great.
