Iolani School Closing Exercises and Athletic Prize Winners

The Iolani School closed yesterday with afternoon exercises and athletic events. Willard E Brown and Ellen Hopper wed in Honolulu

Willard E. Brown of the Hawaiian Safe Deposit Company married Ellen Hopper at the bride’s parents home. Rev D P Birnie officiated with Harriet Lowers as bridesmaid and Wallace Parkington as best man. Attendants included James and Margaret Peterson. A large Honolulu society reception followed with many notable guests. The couple will reside at Waikiki.

Special memorial services for Count von Beust

Special memorial services were held at the Catholic cathedral in memory of Count von Beust, a young Austrian naval officer who died by his own hand in 1871 during the Austrian war vessel Conan's stay at this port.
