His career includes clerkship in a North Carolina superior court, chief clerk to the collector of internal revenue, and twelve years on the North Carolina corporation commission where he supervised state banks and carriers, boosting credit standards and public confidence.
An Abydos statue recovered by the University Museum of Philadelphia shows cube like features in a 3400 year old sculptural form. The seated figure’s knees are drawn to the chin with a projecting head, the front etched with hieroglyphic titles. The piece illustrates early Egyptian cubist tendencies and hints Moses may have seen it.
Public notice from Tony Romano dated August 14 1915 in Eureka Nevada warns wrongdoers who recently took a horse from his Tango property and rode or packed it until its back was raw to expect prosecution to the full extent of the law if they can be located. Wm. H. Smith of Newark Valley Nevada announces a salt and saltpetre post for his range on the east side of the Diamond range. The boundary runs from the summit between Albert Man's and his range to Fairy Dell north, covering 11 canyons and 12 ridges with lines marked by stakes and flags to within 200 yards of Diamond mountain. David Morris of Eureka Nevada publishes a notice to William Holder and heirs that he has spent 200 to maintain Gordon Nos 1 and 2 mining claims on Prospect Mountain Eureka District Eureka County Nevada for 1913 1914 assessment work per US law. Proportionate share 100 must be contributed within 90 days from publication to avoid losing the co owner interest to the subscriber.
