Florence Crittenton home trustees announce a state wide tag day on September 25 to raise funds for a new home and improvements for dependent children. Women of the State will assist in selling tags, which cost 10 cents with optional extra donation.
Ruby Valley ranchers report large flocks of wild geese overrunning local grain fields attracted by ripened crops. Lakes in the valley host thousands of water birds, with geese from outside the valley feeding on wheat while state and federal protections keep birds safe until October.
A leading mining engineer reports unprecedented capital available for mining, observed in financial centers nationwide. Investors are drawn to proven mining properties while shying from broader commercial ventures, signaling a shift of funds to mining states. The trend boosts the industry as demand for precious metals grows, with mining location blanks offered at the Equatora office.
Nevada press reports public discontent with Reno racing meet practices. The state racing commission’s fee plan and betting payouts allegedly short changed winners by 20 cents, inflating profits for the racing association.
